KARRIERE GRANT

Karriere Grant is a Jeppe Hein's bar where the 7% of the money that people that drinks beer goes to an artists grant.

Karriere is a now-defunct café/restaurant/bar situated in Flæsketorvet in Copenhagen.

It was a venue with huge ambitions – and the credentials to go with them: world class artists across a range of artistic disciplines defined the functions and design of the place, thereby making art part of a social space shared by a broad audience. At Karriere, art was a natural part of meeting, eating, drinking, relaxing and having fun, spurring communication, reflection and play, giving art an immediate relevance and meaning in a exclusive yet informal environment.

Karriere Grant is a grant as well as an artwork by Alicia Framis. The artist awarded the grant once yearly to one of the nominees.
