Alicia Framis is the first woman to marry a hologram, an intelligent hologram that fulfils all her emotional needs. Imagine having a partner who is there for you whenever you need them, a relationship that combats loneliness in cities. This is a romantic relationship between a human and artificial intelligence. While we know that robots and humans will soon become sexual partners, Framis believes that the next important step is emotionally connecting humans with artificial intelligence. Holograms are closer to her emotions than robots. Love and sex with robots and holograms are an inevitable reality. They make great companions and are capable of expressing empathy. Just as telephones saved us from loneliness and filled the void in our lives, holograms as interactive presences in our homes can take it even further. This contemporary couple delves into the theme of intimacy and emotional relationships by introducing a virtual partner designed to be her companion. AiLex, an interactive holographic sculpture, is an AI entity created using the profiles of people she knows. 

The purpose of this is to share life and emotions, engaging with various contemporary debates such as posthumanism, virtuality, and the complex intersections of gender within intimate and social spaces, including their dissolution. The daily life of the couple is intense. Alicia is teaming up with Rabobank to explore the practical and ethical issues concerning humans in close relationship with AI. How does a house specifically designed for a hologram and a human look? And more specifically, can a bank have clients who are not humans for the first time? These interesting dilemmas will be explored by Framis in an artistic and business way together with Rabobank (Art Collection/ Rabo Art lab). On the rooftop terrace of DeDepot Boijmans, a wonderful new ritual of marriage between a human and an avatar will take place. A new generation of love is emerging, whether we want it or not, where humans will be married and in relationships with holograms, avatars, robots, and more. Just as we practice new languages with Duolingo, we will practice relationships with these entities. This contemporary couple explores this phenomenon by combining art, technology, and communication through research and experience. From the start of the project, the artist has been fascinated by the state of technological advancements and AI-related phenomena in culture and society. Notable references include CARYNAI, an influencer who creates a virtual alter ego called Lil Miqela, as well as entities created by the music industry and major brands like Kenzo and Yamaha.
