POMMERY PARKING CLUB(Barcelona, 2007)

When I lived in Paris around the year 1985, we used to party in Les Bains where we were aloud to drink and smoke, dance and kiss.

The years passed, and in 2007 I went back to Paris, in a flash visit. My old party friends and I gathered together to remember good times, but when I got into the restaurant I realized that now smoke and drink is forbidden. So I found myself smoking outside the restaurant, looking at my feet; another client smokes while he was talking on his cell phone, just to make sweeter the ridiculous experience of been rejected.

Drink and smoke… ¿what else can be as social as these two pleasures? And now the only choices we have left are corners of restaurants and offices, or the entrance of any building, the favorite place of dogs!

Last night I had a dream, the solution! I had a call from Eric, he told me to meet him in the POMMERY PARKING CLUB, a new place, a huge cube built on one vertex (like almost floating in the space), a real miracle of engineering.

I took my car, and when I got there I didn’t find the parking entrance, instead was an enormous crane that takes every car to the top of the club. Once inside, I saw thousands of cars, and a big dancing floor was waiting for me. Everyone was dancing in all directions. I was delighted smoking a cigarette; meanwhile I was driving to the dancing floor. I felt as I was in a rocket and playing the roll of Pipi Lanstrum at the same time.

I like very much the feeling of being smoking inside the car, with a great glass of champagne and chatting with my best friend, meanwhile I’m listening to the outside music and watching how precious bodies dance with it.

Then came the best part, I dipped into a champagne swimming pool, a pool that its located in the dark side of the club, and has a kind of deep holes and tunnels where people can get into and anything can happen.

But actually I preferred stay in my car tasting the smoke and the champagne bubbles. And enjoy with my dearest friends my cigarette and my glass.
