I feel that now I am Spanish-Dutch. The flag that now corresponds to my real nationality should be the Spanish fusion with the ten years of Dutch mentality, food, water, behaviour, thoughts and investment.
Therefore I decided to design a flag that fits better to my being. I'm not 100 percent Spanish anymore, and I know that a lot of people I met in Holland were in the same situation as me. They feel Irish- Dutch, American-Dutch, French-Dutch. We cannot forget how many Dutch people also live abroad, and when they come back to Holland, they do no longer feel 100 per cent Dutch. The Dutch flag doesn't represent anymore their real being, like their political, social, spiritual or emotional being.
One of the main consequences of people emigrating is that on their return to their original country, their life has already gone through a fusion with the other culture, thoughts and ways of understanding life. The most interesting part of the flags' design is that in between the two original flags the fusion creates a new series of colours that were never present in the world flags. This mix or fusion represents the internal transformation, which people go through when living abroad.
A flag should adapt to everybody's necessities and integrate each ones life background.
